Students who are pursuing the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Quantity Surveying program will understand the role of a quantity surveyor who is responsible for technical, economic, legal and managerial skills in all constructions and development stages from the project brief issued to the lead consultant all through the construction projects. The program encourages students to be qualified for the high
demand of qualified quantity surveyors in the international construction industry through academic and practical knowledge and skills.
The program aims to prepare graduates good enough to practice in the field and also pursue postgraduate studies related to the major.
Graduates from this program are capable of applying accurate techniques and skills of measurement, quantification and cost estimation in construction projects. They will also be able to apply knowledge of economics, building constructions, maintenance and services related to quantity surveying areas.
They’ll apply resolutions and relevant laws through the projects and implement their communication and analytical skills and participate in project management, financial management, entrepreneurship and current construction issues in the field. Graduates will be asked to perform ethically and professionally in the field and be able to conduct research and development activities to attain professional membership status in quantity surveying.
